I’m curious your thoughts on Gen AI for programming. As a professional software engineer, the experience is AMAZING and makes it way easier and faster to build things. Basically, while good conceptual fundamentals of programming are still essential, all the annoyance and nitty gritty syntax details get smoothed away. I spend more time thinking about the structure of what I’m building, and less about the esoterica of the language or of trivial logic.
